This is a limited edition and seasonal salt taking advantage of the wonderful Tasmanian citrus season and the last of last summer’s beautiful chillis. Tasmanian grown limes and chillis are freeze-dried to retain the maximum possible taste and added to the amazing sea salt that is harvested and processed on the North coast of Tasmania. The combination of lime juice and zest and chilli results in a complex, layered flavour. At first taste you will get a zingy lime saltiness and then you will be hit by mild burst of heat.
The citrus fresh taste of the lime, the lovely heat of the chilli and the clean saltiness of the salt are the perfect match for light Asian stir-fries, fish and chicken. Don’t forget to try it on your tropical fruit for a unique taste experience. Chilli lime salt is great on veggies and meat, and anything that’s been grilled. You can also use this citrusy salt to rim mixed drinks for a surprise hit of tangy heat!
