A simple yet elegant dish for effortless entertaining
There’s something incredibly satisfying about making your own flatbread. Maybe it’s the feel of the dough under your hands, or the little puff it makes when it hits a hot pan. Or maybe it’s just knowing that you’re minutes away from something delicious. Either way, this Rosemary Flatbread with Ricotta & Honey is the kind of recipe you’ll want to keep up your sleeve – whether it’s for a casual afternoon snack or a stunning appetiser when friends drop by.
It’s light, rustic, and just a little bit fancy – everything we love about easy summer entertaining. Best of all, it uses pantry staples and a sprinkle of our Smoked Garlic & Rosemary Finishing Salt to bring it all to life.
Why This Recipe Works
The base is a simple flatbread – no yeast, no resting, no fuss. It cooks in minutes, and the slight smokiness of our finishing salt gives it an irresistible depth. Soft ricotta adds creamy richness, while a drizzle of honey balances it all with a whisper of sweetness. It’s the kind of dish that feels thoughtful and impressive, but takes less time to pull together than you’d spend setting the table.
Ingredients You’ll Need
You’ll need pantry staples: plain flour, olive oil, and honey. You’ll need ricotta and a good rosemary finishing salt – we recommend: Smoked Garlic & Rosemary Finishing Salt, Rosemary Finishing Salt or Rosemary & Lemon Finishing Salt

Notes
Substitutions
- Flour: Plain flour works perfectly, but you can swap for a gluten-free blend if needed (just be mindful the texture might vary slightly).
- Ricotta: Soft goats' cheese would be a beautiful alternative if you’re after a bit more tang.
- Honey: Swap for maple syrup if you prefer a plant-based option.
